Adrianna (Anna) Jackson
Anna is from Cloquet, Minnesota and grew up on the Fond du Lac Reservation. She received her Biology and Native American & Indigenous Studies Bachelor’s degrees from the University of Minnesota Morris. An interesting fact about Anna is that she enjoys learning new languages. She studied the Russian language for two years before coming to college and is currently learning Anishinaabe. While at Morris, Anna was involved in both biomedical research and archival research. The archival research focused on the history of the Morris campus and its boarding school period, with the goal of improving representation for Native Americans. The research about the Morris campus aligns with her goals of improving the experiences of Native American students at Morris. She has worked with vulnerable adults in the past, providing both care and guidance for individuals to gain independence in their communities. Anna has a passion for providing support and teaching others to advocate for themselves. She enjoyed her time on the Morris campus as a student and looks forward to providing current and future students with positive experiences.
